The ownership has changed since my last post. I know of at least 2 changes of ownership. I suspect that serving only Uyghur food may have proved appealing to too few diners, unfortunately. While continuing to offer Uyghur food, the new owners seem to be more strongly familiar with Afghan and Persian food and have added items from those two cuisines. I have noticed a slight change to the taste and consistency of the Uyghur items since first trying the food here about 5 years ago. The very first chef and owners had the Uyghur sauces perfected. Although I would say they're still pretty good, they aren't quite what they used to be. I haven't tried the Persian or Afghan dishes yet, so I have no comment about them. Years ago, I really liked the Uyghur Kung Pao chicken. I haven't been there for many months and need to try it again. I was very happy to have it locally since it's not a common cuisine to find. I will go again and hope the Uyghur items are as good as I remember. If you visit the place, give feedback, as it can help the owners make adjustments. Just be gentle and respectful with criticisms.

When we got to the restaurant on a Friday evening around 6pm , there were plenty of available tables. An hour later, it got busy. Anyway, the service was helpful. We got the naan and the shredded potatoes for appetizers. They were both good. For our entrees we got the lamb shank, goosh naan (meat pie), green beans, and the dumplings. The lamb shank was cooked well and very tender though the portion size was a tad smaller than expected. The goosh naan was unique and the top favorite of our dishes. The green beans and dumplings were okay. None of the entrees included basmati rice so we ordered that separately. Then finally we ordered the honey cake which was delicious. Not too sweet and so good. I would go back just for a slice of the cake. Overall, the food was good. A bit on the pricey side for the portion sizes. The restaurant is very casual. Menu selection is good with unique choices. Parking can be challenging.

I found this place on Yelp and had high hopes, and it did not disappoint. I was really interested in trying this cuisine because it looked Middle Eastern and Asian, and the dishes, like laghman, I had never tried before. When I went the restaurant was basically empty, and so the ambiance was not great but it was not a huge deal. I ordered a lentil soup, laghman, and a kebab plate. The soup was good - quite sour and peppery but tasty. The meat for the kebab was super delicious, tender and flavorful. The noodles were also good but I expected a more unique or distinct flavor. It was basically a tomato-type thin soup/sauce and veggies and meat. The noodles were also not very unique. I expected more chew or something that indicated they were hand-pulled, but they just tasted like regular noodles. Overall I'm glad I tried because it is so unique and not really like anything I've had before.

We greatly enjoyed our experience here for lunch! First, I must thank and commend Ben for providing incredible service. The restaurant was bright and clean. Ordering via phone was fairly seemless. The food came out promptly - in massive portions and cooked to order. The pot of milk tea was rich and creamy without being too sweet. Flavors and textures galore. A wonderful restaurant.
